This was the day we moved to Ohio. I had lived in New York State all my life - 45 years! This was going to be an adventure, the chance for my husband to fulfill a dream. We were moving to a new state away from family and all that we knew and were familiar with. The first year was very difficult. Holidays were different, no family to get together with, just the four of us. My new job involved some weekend and holidays worked at the hospital- very different. People spoke differently- gonna buy me, gonna get me & where you at? My husband worked so hard to make the opportunity work, but it did not. We had planned ahead for what if it did not work. He has a new job that he likes, but still is on the road frequently. Our children have grown, and we have found new friends through dance. I wonder where the next chapter of our lives will lead?
