When I opened up this gorgeous kit by Romy, I was so struck by the idea that what we are able to see isn't always the 'whole picture'.
The self we present for the world to see isn't always the real us and can be at times just a mask we create.
I wanted to reflect that concept in my layout.
To achieve this look I layered two papers, masked part of the top one and set it to a Hard Light blend mode.
Clipped an additional paper to the striped mask to create the 'face'.
I also used various blend modes with the word art (mostly Overlay or Soft Light) and some I applied an Invert adjustment layer to.
