emmas teacher, mrs. neuhaus, gave us homework last week. we were to write about our experiences in first grade. man, that was a long time ago! i was able to get this picture from my mom, though. its so crazy to see photos like this and see just how much emma and i really do favor. in the homework assignment i told her how excited i was about starting school and wearing the dress that mama trudy made for me and meeting my teacher, Miss Kelly, for the first time. I also remember the friends from the class. Im actually still friends with a lot of them to this day. i hope emma is able to make those kinds of friends early in life, too.
