Niagara Falls 1989

Niagara Falls 1989, we visited the Falls and I took photos with our film camera almost like these, though mine are not as vibrant and clear as these from Pixabay. I did ride in the lift over the Niagara River whirlpool, but didn't get to go on the Maid of the Mist or ride in the helicopter that took visitors right up to the falls (that would have been magnificent to see).

Process:

Placed scenic psd file onto a new background and rotated it, then adding adding the paper texture.

Brought in photos and clipped to frame masks, master mask and all texture/stain layers.

WA Cluster (the “open” layer blend mode was set to luminosity) and MM Flowers finished the page.

I love your beautiful page. My late husband was from upstate NY, so we've visited the falls often. One time when we were there they had rerouted part of the falls, to clean and repair behind them, so we got some unusual behind-the-scenes photos that trip. :) A STANDING O for your beautiful page!

Congrats on the Standing O! Gorgeous page. Love your placement of the Maid of the Mist as if it was at the bottom of the falls. I grew up 'just down the road' from the falls and have many fond memories. Returned to that area a few years ago and was still awed by the beauty of the falls.

I remember that time the falls were rerouted although I didn't get to see it. Fascinating!

Congratulations on the Standing O! A beautiful page! The falls photo is great, but your placement of the other photos and use of red really make this. I love all the Niagra Falls stories - my parents went there for their honeymoon in 1950! I've been a couple of times, I think, the latest in 2010. I would not even consider that cable car (yikes!)

Thank you Diane! That's so cool your parents went on their honeymoon there. It really is such a special place to spend time. LOL! I was quite excited about riding in the cable car. Our friend's husband went with me (hubby or friend would Not do it either). :giggle4:

I moved over 2000 miles to western Canada in the 80's. I have no family left in the Niagara region so don't get that way any more. So, I really enjoyed your beautiful page. :heartpumpred:
