Journaling: This is my Great Grandmother in her wedding dress which was a voil fabric and a very unusual shade of purple. One of my sisters now has this dress stored away somewhere. Her name was Florence Grimes and the man she married was John F. Grimes. We called him Daddy Jack. That same year she gave birth to twins, my grandfather (my mothers dad) and my great Aunt. They bought a home in Portland, Oregon and she lived in that house for 60 plus years. She passed away March 4, 1974.
