My Jewels!
Done for a challenge where we were to scrap about something we wear
Top journaling:
If there is one thing I always wear, its jewelry. I LOVE my jewelry!! If you look on the shelves of my closet, youll find that I have not one, but TWO jewelry boxes! Okay. So they look like the things you get at Wal-Mart to store screws, nuts, and bolts. Thats because I did get them at Wal-Mart, and they are supposed to be used for storing screws, nuts, and bolts. But I use them to hold all of my ~beloved~ costume jewelry, most of which was purchased at Talbots. One year I bought so much stuff there I received a personal Christmas card from Talbots headquarters!
Middle journaling:
Why use these cheap plastic things to hold my beloved jewelry? Because Im anal retentive, and these things are great for organizing! See! Each little drawer can hold up to three sets of matched jewelry. (A matched set consists of earrings, a bracelet, and a necklace.)
Bottom journaling:
Youd think that someone who loves jewelry as much as I do would have some good stuff, too. I do! Over the years Peter has given me some very nice jewelry with pearls, diamonds, and other precious stones. But I dont store it in the containers meant for hardware. I HIDE it so the bad guys wont get it should they break into our house. Unfortunately I dont get to wear the good stuff very often, because I usually cant remember where I last hid it. Warning to the kids: Should I unexpectedly kick the bucket, be very careful when you are getting rid of my stuff!
