It is very exciting to get a plain gourd and find out what its shape inspires you to create with it. It is like a blank canvas waiting for you to make somthing beautiful. I think of a design, draw it, wood burn it, carve it, and then paint or stain it. It is a very long process, but very rewarding. I am still learning, but it is a very enjoyable process.
