Photos: Mine
Fonts: Torquay Hotel and Tom
Process Notes: Starting with clipping my photo to the large mask and leaving it on Normal blend mode, I used the gradient tool and a color from the photo to eliminated the harsh line of the edge of the photo in the upper right side. I placed the MM Rain over the photo. I clipped the rest of the photos to masks and left those as is on the first page of the spread. Positioning glows over the photo over the right hand page, I blended those to Overlay and turned down the opacity. I did the blending after I brought in the papers, which I did after all the clipping of photos was done. I used an artsy paper for the left side and a solid paper for the right side.
With the exception of clipping a paper from the palette to the photo blendz on the second page of the spread and moving it beneath the photo frames, I didnt change anything else on the templates. I added transfers from the palette and Yule artsy transfers to the right side page to bring the mushroomy feel over.
Using bits and pieces of the MM Holiday, placing the greenery over the number 3 and the button over the threads. Wanting to add a bit of whimsy to the spread, I brought in the mushrooms and elves brushes.
I always write my journaling in another app and copy and past them into the text boxes. Just easier for me to do that. I titled it as the spread grew, playing around with the placement until I got it where I liked it best. I very much enjoyed the process of creating a 2-page spread and look forward to creating more for my first photo book.
