Journaling:
The road ended at Dinkle Lake. There was a trailhead for the six mile hike to Mt. Sopris, with 4,253 ft. elevation gain. We hiked around the lake. We watched chipmunks playing on the fence in front of the old barn. Then we found a wildlife area where we watched three hawks. Further on, we explored beyond a cattle fence and down a jeep road.
