journaling....
is there anything harder than a self
portrait. We find so many things wrong with
ourselves that it doesnt often bear
close scrutiny. I am on a journey to better myself.
I have realized this
also includes finding and acknowledging my
strengths. I am learning that to acknowledge
my strengths makes me like myself more
and brings about change
all on its own. I want to be confident in myself,
love myself for who I am, not who I want to be.
My son taught me a huge lesson the
other day. He told me I was beautiful.
And looking at his face I could
see he truly believed it! and I thought,
who am I to tell him otherwise.
I was humbled and grateful beyond measure
for his admiration. how else can we change or
become self aware.
I came to a realization,its easier to change
when I learn to love myself.
To admire the good in me.
