Mormor

For the Color me thankful challenge.

Journalling:
My Grandmother just turned 94. When I am 94 years old, I wish that I will have the same attitude towards life, aging and people that she has. She once said that 'sure it was fun to be 17, but I wouldn't want to be that again'. Each age has its charm and its difficulties. She thinks that all people are kind at heart. I get a feeling that she is really grateful for life. On the 30th of October she turned 94. Two days before something happened, maybe something with her lung, and she had to go to the hospital in an ambulance. Things were critical, she didn't respond to any contact attempts. On her very birthday she was laughing and singing along in the birthday song, eyes sparkling. Thankful for life, not at all done with it.

Wow, love you grandma!!! Great page to her! Did you show it to her? Love the second picture - such a happy and bright smile: and so much freedom in it.

I don't understand the sail-boat in background ...........
does she loves (loved) sailing???

Haha V, no, I'm not sure I fully understand the sail boat either. But in the old photo of my Grandmother, she is in a small open motor boat, holding the stearing stick of the motor (sorry for lack of words here). Then, I was thinking that I wanted a paper or photo with blue sky and fluffy clouds coming in from the right, but I think I've lost the paper I had in mind. This came up when I flicked through my photos, and it reminded me of how similar we are, me and her, spending time on water in our twenties.
