Journaling:
Big Creek Lakes campground is about 8 miles south of the Wyoming border, at 9,150 ft. Out our kitchen window at Site 23 was the road and a forest devastated by pine beetles and fire. Out our front door was a lush green pine forest with snow-capped peaks in the background.

Fabulous photo--the moose are amazing. We saw many them on the golf course in Banff. They did not seem to be bothered by us at all. Clever use of the foliage to hold your map.

Sometimes a moose shows up in our area and it makes the news around here. I adore those animals. And dont get me started about the pine beetles after a forest fire, plenty of experience with that around here. I so love the photo and your map. Beautiful spread.

No idea what a Pine beetle was so just googled it - quite frightening the devastation they can cause! Great spread again!
