Momma O's September Challenge

What a fun challenge. After looking over the lists, I chose to go with September 17th: National Monte Cristo Day. We have this wonderful cafe in town called Vidalia's and they have THE best Monte Cristo sandwiches.

I first had to google Monte Cristo Day. I only know the novel about the Count of Monte Cristo ... LOL ... I love the photo editing. The street sign towards the cafe is so cool. Great take on the challenge.

What a fabulous scene you created, it looks so dramatic with the photo treatment. Awesome! I have no idea what Monte Christo Day is either lol

Thanks, Sylvia! They're the best sandwiches, and they are served with a preserve jelly or honey and are usually made with gruyere cheese. SO good.

Thanks, Anke. They're the BEST sandwich and we can only get them at this particular cafe. There are lots of recipes online, but many steps to making one.

Such a fun layout!!! Never heard of or tried the sandwich. Might have to see what its all about. Probably means travel, (sarcastic) Darn. :giggle4: I love how vibrant and colorful the layout is and the photo is super fun. Makes me wanna try the sandwich. Love the restaurant being half the page and you blended so well I cant tell where it ends.

Thanks so much, Tracy. There are lots of recipes online for the Monti Cristo sandwich. It's amazing and you would LOVE it. Thanks for your wonderful comments - you know I love your heartfelt comments.

Love how you blended the vibrant cafe exterior to the background and included a detail shot of that delicious-looking Monte Christo sandwich. All the little word bits are a perfect addition and go so well with the cafe's "EAT HERE" sign.
