Mission 911

Journaling: raig and I were fortunate to be asked to participate in the annual golf tournament to benefit the Mission 911 in Corpus Christi. Two teams from Beeville participated in the tournament. Our team consisted of Jimmy Hatfield, Max Luna, Craig and myself. We first became involved with the mission through Mitch Luna. Mitch asked Craig to work the Walk to Siloam, a walk patterned after the Walk to Emmaus, but geared to the homeless. Since working the initial walk, we have supported the mission through the Walk to Siloam. There were a few men working the tournament as spotters on the hole in one holes. You could tell they were part of the mission. As we met each one, I wondered if they saw Jesus in me.? Here we were a bunch of upper middle class people, playing golf at a country club, dressed in nice clothes, playing a rich mans sport. Did they see and feel the Christian love this day as they did on the Walk? I pray I touched someones life today.

love the photo treatment and your journaling is beautiful! That torn edge is just the perfect touch!

Beautiful page, Terry, and I would be thinking as you did. My life is so easy-peasy compared to so many, and so much of what I spend my time on seems pointless (I play golf too!!!).

love the details with the torn edge and the stitching, love the journaling too!
