Journaling:The top memorable moments in my life. I couldnt believe I had created this tiny life and I was terrified of messing things up and yet so incredibly happy to hold you in my arms. And yes, I did mess up here and there, but that is the way of parenting and despite that, you grew up into an amazing, beautiful young woman. You joined the National Guard, went to Iraq twice and met the man of your dreams. I watched you leave the nest and marry that man. Such a bittersweet time for me. You were happy and we were both starting a new life, you with your new husband and me on my own. It was so scary to watch you leave for Iraq and the year and a half you were gone was not easy. The second time you went was a tad easier, but no less scary. Watching you come off the plane, putting your feet on American soil again, and holding you in my arms, knowing you were now safe. All moments in our life that will stay with me forever.
