I'm writing about Cousin Kay for my family history blog (her birthday was Oct. 31) and cropped her image from a photo for it. Then I had to scrap it too.
Such a lovely tribute page, honoring Cousin Kay. I love how she seems to be in motion and I can almost hear her chatting. The starburst stamp behind the porcelain bird embellie is sheer perfection!
I absolutely LOVE this! Brings back many fond memories of my Aunties during this era, when ladies always dressed to the 9's, wore hats , weddings were relatively simple and wedding dresses didn't cost what my mom & dad paid to build our house in the 50's. I'm sure she had a lovely hankie and white gloves in her "pocketbook" as well.Such a lovely tribute page.Love the brown background with the gray paper layer and those bold strokes of black paint with that stamp so reminiscent of a stained glass window. Cousin Kay would love the simplicity of the dove with the simple how.
