I have never been so relieved to finish a page. Been kicking this one around for weeks it seems, flip-flopping on my strategy several times. Rewatching Session 1 helped a lot, I think I was distracted the first time. And the process became straight forward and fun!

Journaling is paraphrased here:
Me, 1958 rocking a baby doll. My first car, a 1973 Honda Civic with a Hawaiian mural, it was a real eye-catcher. Ron with his 3rd car, a 1955 Ford Crown Victoria and him feeding the chickens at a very young age.

Abrazo AP3 was placed for the foundation, and I followed the diagonal from top left to bottom right for my focal points. Two car photos were extracted and placed, drop shadows added. Two FITP frames were placed with photos clipped to the mask. MultiMedia elements, word art and the Wendy’s cup extraction were placed, drop shadows added where needed. A blue artsy stain was added after finishing the right side.

Love the contrast between the color and the black and white photos. It adds a modern touch to those lovely memories from days gone by.

Love your background choice for these stories - you had some tough color combos to work with. I'm sure I don't have a photo of my first car either...I didn't have a camera! :) The element clusters really anchor and contain the page!

This is great! Love the vintage photos and cars! Cars have been a theme running through our household over the years. Most of them were rebuilt junk cars. I was so excited to get my first new car (late 70s) ... a VW Rabbit. Didn't have to worry about the door falling off, fixing the steering linkage in traffic, or water splashing up from the road into the car because part of the floor was missing (all different cars). Love your page!
