It took awhile to finish these pages for my Monthly Review Joy album. Didn't do much picture taking in August and it felt a little disingenuous to sugar coat a crappy month. But once I got going I realized that this month had lots of joyous moments.
process: Began with 2 templates and clipped photos. Created background with artsy papers and artsy transfers. Deleted some frames and gently tweaked the placement of others. Altered the wordart cluster to reflect my Joy theme. Added button elements, threads, splatters & pieces from a multimedia cluster to embellish. Finished off with my journaling.

It's not always easy to find the little bits of joy - I am struggling with this myself now that Oz is in school and doesn't need Nana to pick him up every day. I too turn to my paints, my scrapbooking, and fortunately for me, I can walk! You've done a nice job with this! Love the rabbit and the blue sky as well as the flowers!

A very lovely collection of your special moments, and flowers for your month. These are your highlighted memories, and the colors made me smile. The colorful dots remind me of a book about colorizing wardrobe for all skin tone. I love the paper texture on the left that creates a frame for the yellow flowers autumn branch.

Thanks Diane! I'm finding this 'season' of life to be a challenge. Finding purpose & joy doesn't come with a manual. I will say though, that working on monthly Joy pages (all my digital pages) helps keep me smiling. And I always enjoy seeing your pages too! :flower:

Thank you Beverly! The colourful dots are a very old watercolour paint set. They were destined for the bin. Glad I decided to play with them first. They may be old but they created some lovely art. Haha...I may have just described myself.

lol. Paint sets, to me, are fun to add in among photos. I need to take a pic of mine to use. Thanks for the idea!!
