I skipped some other stories of my niece's visit so I could capture these "in the moments", but with one thing and another, here it is 4 days later. to "quickly" capture, I once again used the Artsy Layered Template, changing the frames a bit, and between the layers placed a Ludiosis FotoBlendz to blend a photo, levels adjusted. Another "combo" (i use the merged png files and pile up different ones to get the effect I want) Ludiosis FotoBlendz on the right. Clipped Ludiosis Artsy Kardz to the small frames, then placed new Everyday Notions in a cluster with some MM elements.
Everyday Notions book was placed on the right, Lumosity, and duplicated, then I stamped a lined brush for my journaling.
I know the journaling is too small to read:
I knew it was a King Tide, yet I didn’t plan to go out to the Cove. However once we reached the Rat Beach Dolphin and I saw how low was the tide, and how beautiful the day, it called to me. “I’m going out”, I declared. Tod returned - he didn’t have the right shoes on. Neither did I, and worse, I didn’t have the right bag. It was glorious. After I found the first 2 wavy turbans, I reluctantly placed them in my good Athleta crossbody, and started hunting for more. Oh, did I find more. I needed a solution, The tiny bag was full, the shells were wet and smelly, and I had no pockets in my tights. I spied something blue up on the rocks. Good thing Tod wasn’t with me, he would not like me climbing on rocks.
The “something blue” turned out to be a net bag, perhaps for fishing? It was tied with a very strong cable tie. I really need to carry a knife with me. Unable to break the tie, I still managed to wrap up the shells and use the length of cable to close the net. It was not the most comfortable thing to carry, but it was better than nothing. As soon as I got home, I laid out my treasures, and threw my bag and tights, on which I had to keep wiping my hands (I really should also carry gloves and a rag), into the wash.

What I don't recognise are the cobalt blue nets or sacks. Do they serve a specific purpose?
I like the calm atmosphere you've conjured up on the double page spread.

Funny, the story (which I know is too small to read) very much involves this blue net. I found it stuck up among the rocks of the cove (had to climb over rocks to get it). It appeared just when I needed it, as I had found too many shells to carry. I don't know what it is, perhaps something used for fishing. I wanted to save it, as it's perfect for carrying shells, but even after washing it, it smelled horrible. On the plus side, I removed a plastic hazard from the ocean environment :-)

Love the story of the blue plastic net and the slight angle of the horizon and how it leads the eye to the left side. Beautiful ocean page to add to your book!

The blue plastic net came in handy for the shells, and your photo colors; and how good of you to get it out of the ocean! It makes a nice vibrant blue color triangle on the spread, and has interesting texture. I love the very pale golden clouds and sky in the distance. The element cluster on the bottom left is genius!
