Journaling reads: On the way into town along the back road, I drive past Derby Pond. It is captivating in every season, at every time of day, and under all weather conditions. Often, the water is calm and the reflections are as clear as in a mirror. At twilight, lights from the few houses around the pond glow and cast dancing patterns onto the water. I find myself stopping often to photograph the beauty.
