I know I did May's week one already but before I started it, I was complaining (commenting) to a friend that I didn't know what to do. She informed me that my comment was an AJ in and of itself. So I thought, huh and its totally fortitude, this months theme. Here is a peek into my mind of what this months theme did to me. (in a good way). I used many kits to get my thoughts out. Most times are 50% saturation as they're "thoughts".

Tracy, that "friend" gave you some good advice. Your page is so profound and I know that you put your heart and soul into every AJ page that you create. Do you know how lucky we feel that you have embraced AJ and have grown so much through your pages? You are one of the reasons we pour our heart and souls into these challenges! Your title bowls me over - you have so much inside of you to get down on paper. Your journaling is spot on and so is your blending. I LOVE that picture of you and what you journaled about "being pretty". You are SO beautiful and WE are SO blessed that you landed here at The O. We are doubly blessed that you have embraced AJ like you have!!!!! A Standing O for you, Girl!!!:bowdown2::yourock::heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

Awwwwwww. Thank you Cheryl! My friend (you) did give me awesome advice. And it turned out fun. Its a snapshot of what my mind looked like the moment I complained to you. I am so blessed to have landed here and found the AJ link. Its been amazing. Its so funny to look back and see how basic (bad) the LO use to be. I've learned to much here, technically and emotionally. And NO the photo wasn't what was pretty, but thank you. I was talking do I make the layout pretty. :giggle4:

Such an awesome page, Tracy, I can't stop looking at it and reading. You've so expressed what I'm going through too. Hopefully, I can get back in the swing of things in the next few days. Congrats on the well-deserved Standing O. ♥

Oh my gosh - you really hit this one out of the park! You have encapsulated many of the thoughts that I have had on my art journal journey as we!! I was so convinced that I could NEVER do pages like my heroes were doing, but slowly and surely with tutelage and {FORTITUDE}, I began to see the ability grow. We can see how much you have grown in the style, and guess what? I'm going to challenge you about something you put on your page: Next AJ page, I want you to incorporate at least one space of GRUNGE!!! I know you can do it!!!

We are so blessed to have you here at the O - and I am so excited to see the growth in all the ladies here!!!!

I LOVE what you created, and it was in your head all the time. I knew you had a LO in you head - you just needed to process all the "snapshots" and get them on a page, which you did. BTW, we can ALL look back on our early AJ LOs and think they're not very good. There is NO "bad" just growth. That's what Art Journaling is all about for me - growth. Your pages have certainly gotten deeper, but your early pages were definitely not bad. I can look back at my early pages and think they're not very good, either, but it was where I was at then. You have grown so much and you didn't think you could do it at all when you started. YOU GO GIRL!!! YOU GROW Girl!!:hug3:

Thank you Betty Jo. I hope you are able to get your thoughts straight to scrap this awesome prompt. I cant wait to see what you come up with.

Awwww I love you and I hate you :heartpumppink: :giggle4: :heartpumppink: You want me to try grunge???? What???
Seriously though, thank you. I have learned so much from all of you and the encouragement has been such a blessing. The growth through AJ has been amazing, both is healing and scrapping. I never thought (and still dont) I could scrap as amazing as you guys do.

I'm still not sure I can do AJ but I am enjoying the process. I think the biggest thing I have learned is the art part of journaling. I can still express the hurt, anger, joy and love but I dont have to write it all. A few words and wonderful art to show what I need/want. That has been a huge eye opener for me. My early weren't bad they just lacked art. They were more written stories of the hurt and explaining. I love that its now art to help express things. Obviously I still write (a lot) to explain things.:heartpumppink:

You ARE "doing AJ". You totally "get it", Tracy. It's exactly what you described, but like we say "there are no rules in AJ. You are going to find that it's such a wonderful outlet and like you said, just a few words or symbols can speak volumes.
