Maxwell is the new addition to my one woman household. Hes about 2 months old and his previous owner had to reluctantly give him up because of allergies. Maxwell is the first kitty Ive ever owned and Im loving every minute of it. I havent owned an animal since 1994 when our family dog Rocky died. Its wonderful coming home from work to another heart beat in the house.

Process Notes: Starting with artsy paper 3, I moved the layered photo blends onto the page. I created a black and white copy of Maxwells photo and ended up clipping it to the stains and textures of the photo blends and the color version on the main mask, which I stretched out a bit on the right side to include his ear. I moved around the stains and textures and blending them to Vivid Light. I duplicated the main color photo and blending the second copy to Vivid Light also and with a layer mask brought out his eyes more. All this was experimentation, not really knowing what I was going to get. It enriched the colors in the photo.
Underneath the photo layers I placed an overlay from the palette, word art and artsy transfer along the upper left edge of the page. Adding the title using a shade from the leaf that also matched his nose, I blended it to Color Burn.
The script tease was recolored and the opacity turned down at the bottom left corner above and below the photo layers. Brushes from the palette and the new trees were added, with the journaling going over the tree brush.
I used the grass brush from the palette and hugged it over the grass in the paper to give it a little more definition, leaving it as is. The brush is the same size as the texture in the paper so that was an easy maneuver.
Adding the heart charm and button thread over the os in the word art completed the page.
