Make a wish

Another vintage Christmas photograph of my husband - We had a bit of a debate tonight about this, I reckon he is around 19 - 20 months, rompers and all that, which would make it December 1954 :)

I clipped the photograph to a fotoblendz, duplicated twice set at Hard light. When my husband and I were children coloured Christmas lights lights were de rigueur unlike the white twinkly lights that are so fashionable today so I layered a transfer from AP Artsy on top of the photograph set at Colour mode to create the little touches of red and pink. I used transfers from AP Artsy to clip to the watercolour stars and create pops of colour. The page was finished with word art and the stitches changed to white so they would show up against the dark background.

Oooooh, gorgeous!! Love the mix of the vintage b&w photo with the vibrant colors and dark bg...just stunning!!

He looks like a little porcelain dolls against your beautiful background, beautiful Fiona!!

Fiona, I LOVE your treatment of this wonderful photo. The b&w is stunning against those lovely rich colors! (I particularly like those stars.) And the "Joy" beads are inspired. Simply magical! Hope you and yours have a lovely holiday!
