I've been researching part of my family tree recently which is proving incredibly frustrating especially my Dad's side- I really wish when I was young that I had asked for more information...This is my Grandmother but no idea who the guy is or the girl - brother? Cousin?



I started by creating the spread so I could work on both sides together. Extracted the figures, bottom layer normal then duplicated another twice with both the top layers hard light, I remasked the bottom layer only revealing the faces to allow more texture to show through the figures. the background is comprised of Artsy papers and Artsy transfers layered on top of each other and resized to create the composition I was looking for. The twig frame is sandwiched between layers which achieves the softer effect at the front. Also added are stitched leaves, a branch from MM Flowers, taped textures and part of MM Documents 2.
