In looking for a photo for the birthday avatar challenge, I realized I had a photo of Sanosuke when he was only 10 weeks old and another just a few days after his 13th birthday, which was less than two weeks before he died. I knew I had to pair the two photos for a layout.
The background was created by layering a blue/green Joyful Hearts Design Photo artsy paper on top of a blue/green gradient paper and setting the blend mode of the artsy paper to Darker Color. I then added a paw print paper from Mediterranka Designs, set the blend mode to Darker Color and then added a black layer mask to hide the paper. I then used a default photoshop brush to reveal portions of the paw print paper.
