The prickly poppies and cactus flowers had not opened at all when the sun came over the ridge, but at least some of the blooms started to open as we started our hike back to the Jeep.
Poppies are my fav flower I have never seen any as beautiful as these they look so delicate are white poppies rare I have seen red, purple, pink but never white ones.
Hi Mary, White poppies might not really be in the poppy's botanical family, but are called that. They grow in a dry climate and I did read that they were medicinal herbs for our native people.
