This is Lost Lake in Oregon.

Im always seeing wonderful pictures of Mt. Hood from some lake on Instagram. I wanted to see this for myself, so set one of the goals of the trip to visit a lake in Mt. Hood territory. Unfortunately the summer fires in Oregon not only made Mt. Hood invisible, but smoky conditions changed the very cast of the sunlight. In the middle of the day, the shadows were smoky orange.
Of course, this meant nothing to Cher, who loves the woods, especially tight little trails that she can explore, chasing chipmunks, splashing into the lake, fetching sticks, swimming under the power of her short little legs. The 4-5 mile path around the lake was delightful, mostly flat and soft with the debris of the forest, sometimes nicely paved with a boardwalk.
