This is a lift of 'sunflower' by mum2gnt. I loved her design on sight and thought it would suit this photo of a little shrike. Took me less than half an hour.
The grey shrike is often described as drab but its voice is anything but. It's a wonderful songster. The other thing interesting about it is that mum and dad share parenting and split domestic duties. Both help build the nest and care for their babies. And they pair for life.
