Journaling reads
It seems strange writing about a horse! But this horse
is so special to me. She provides me sanity, an escape
from the craziness that is home. When I have had the
mother of all days, I can either sit in the field with Lily
and rant, or, just saddle up and blow away the cobwebs taking jaunts out into the Scottish countryside for hours.
She maybe aging, but she can still show those young ponies what she is made off, striding over jumps in competition.
Then there are the special moments, they dont come often but when they do happen, its the most joyful and emotional moments. I am talking about Lily lying on the floor of the field and allowing me to lie with her. Thats trust for you. She trusts me as much as I trust her, there is a partnership there that compares no other, a bond thats hard to find with other animals.
Lily needs me to care for her and I need her for my wellbeing.
