We drove 565 miles today, and that includes the trip home after the lighthouses we visited (322 mi. to the lighthouses and 243 mi. from the lighthouses to home). We left the hotel at 10 a.m., stopped at McDonald’s for breakfast and began the trip to Cape Lookout .......

  2. We arrived at the Minnesott Beach ferry at noon. It is approx.. 3 miles across the Neuse River to Cherry Branch. It took approx.. 18 minutes to cross the river.
