Journaling:
The hike was wonderful. The rocks made such a perfect path and there were lizards and rabbits as well as beautiful scenery. The state of preservation of the ruins was remarkable.

Hovenweep is in the middle of nowhere and it was a time when having GPS was especially useful. The rabbit was noteworthy because it was really big. It was the size of a jackrabbit and was maybe a hybrid.
love the swath of paint and dots across the pages, great capture! it does look pretty large for a cottontail! we have a lot of both cottontails and jacks in our neighborhood. The jacks always make me laugh, they are so silly looking.

Great capture of a rabbit, love the line of brush work going across suggesting just how fast that critter was going! In the middle of no where? I don't imagine your GPS is the iPhone map app then!

The GPS is built into our Jeep's computer. There was a maze of roads there used by the Navajos and we've come to depend on it. No, no phone signals a lot of places we go. In fact, no signal where we stayed, but they did have wi-fi.
