La Seine

"You haven't seen Paris until you have walked along the banks of the Seine River. It flows right through the heart of the city between high stone embankments. Paris has 37 bridges across the Seine. In the vicinity of Notre-Dame there are about 200 books sellers along the embankments. They also sell old drawings, prints and souvenirs. At intervals you will find stairways down to walkways right along side of the river. There you can get close-up views of barges, houseboats and tourist boats cruising the river. Larry and I were there during the winter of 1978. After mornings at the Louvre we would go to a charcuterie for fresh bread, cheese, ham and, of
course, a bottle of wine. We would then go down to the river, find a bench for a winter picnic, and happily
watch all the happenings on the busy Seine river."

Oh, wow - it's at the very top of my bucket list and has been forever! I love the blended pictures - one so scenic and the other full of humanity!! :0)

This is so beautiful, and between the pictures and the journaling, all I can say is "Wish I were there."

This is such an interesting page. Love the colour tones and artsy background. Very Paris!

Judy, even though I have never been to Paris, you just took me there with your photos and descriptive journaling. Just added walking 'along the banks of the Seine River' to my bucket list! Wonderful, artsy page design as well!

Wonderful page, just love the pictures of the bridge and the people buying from the vendors.
