Process
A solid paper from APP Lineage was used as the foundation for the page. The photo was clipped to a fotoblendz mask, duplicated with the blending mode changed to hard light. The layers were merged together and then duplicated with the blending mode changed to soft light. The image of my grandmother and me as a child was extracted, duplicated with a hard light blending mode applied. Transfer 6 from the kit was clipped to the extraction and a custom shadow was added. Artsy Transfers Lineage_5 was placed behind the the photos. Word art, journaling, an artstroke and splatters completed the page.
Your page is visually captivating with its stunning photos and magnificent blending of subtle colours, but what really touched me deeply was your journaling.
We usually know very little about our grandparents' generation and how they became the people they were.
It's a sad story, but yet a beautiful page. I love that you were able to create such a beautiful page with your grandmothers photo's. Your blending is perfect, your journaling honest and real and I love the touch of red in your page, especially the red heart.
Your page is what scrapping memories is all about.
I give you a Standing O!!
A truly precious photo, and layout with the true story. The cute little knitted notions are perfect for the story, and bring some extra life into it. The photo of your grandmother smiling as she pets her dog is really nice. Love the red elements in the WA. Fabulous, and Congratulations on the Standing O!
