July AJ Week 1 Courage

Photo: Mine
Font: 1942 Report.

As I was thinking about this all week, it came to mind that my mom dealt with ALZ in the most courageous way. This page is about her journey.
This is so beautiful and powerful. All the writing and sayings and quotes. Simply stunning. Her beautiful face looking on while telling you her courageous fight. The outline of the younger woman with no face, can't remember her but still fighting. Oh the power of this layout. I am so glad you made it and shared. This deserves to be framed and on your wall. :heartpumppink:

I have goosebumps on my arms right now, Amy. This is so beautiful and powerful and everything you put on this page is totally in beautiful sync. Your mother's' face, the young woman, the wings - oh those wings. Just wonderful and I love the part of your heart that you poured onto this page. What a truly heartfelt tribute to your mother. :hug3::heartpumpred:

I teared reading through your page, Amy, it's beautiful in so many ways. How often we talk about the courage of caregivers but rarely do we talk about the courage of living with this disease. I love what you did with your Mom's photo and face, it feels like she's smiling down at you and us. The rest of your journaling, words and pieces really speak a poignant but powerful truth, you did a gorgeous and touching job on this. :beatingheart:

Oh my this is so amazing..you really nailed it here with all the lines...Hugs to you. I love the photo treatment you used on her pic.

Oh my, Amy, what can I add to what has been said by everyone else? This brought tears to my eyes. I loved seeing your Mom's beautiful smiling face... and then those wings. The writing is just beautiful, the sentiments powerful. This is art journaling at its best. Thank you for sharing this page with us. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

Amy, this is a beautiful and truly courageous page! I missed it when we were visiting our son. I know that caretaking was a struggle and an honor, and it was clear your mother was a beautiful person - inside and out - even though ALZ was affecting her. We are entering these struggles now with a senior family member, and "finding words" is challenging for both us and him. Stunning with the word strips and the manifesto of how to celebrate the tiny moments. The photo on the edge and the treatment is beautiful. You put so much thought into this that I hope it was healing for you as well. Hugs.

I am speechless with the theme and how you portrayed it having lost my MIL to that terrible disease!
