My youngest sister, almost 3 years old,
went Christmas shopping with Daddy
to choose a gift for Mommy. She
returned, beaming, and announced to
the family that she bought the
gift. Before she left the room with
her surprise purchase, she turned to
Mom and added, Youll never guess
what it is. Its NOTHING like a
pin cushion! Thats exactly what
it was...a pin cushion. Mom
loved to sew and do needlework.
For years, when we wanted to
keep a gift a surprise, we would just
say, Its nothing like a pin cushion!
