Journaling reads: We don't often get the chance to take trips, and when we do, it is often spur of the moment, and just for a long weekend. Our favorite area to visit is the Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding area. During this trip, we decided to visit the ghost town Bodie, as it had been almost 20 years since we had last been there. We learned that it was open year round, so despite the snow flurries, very cold temps, and blowing winds, we set out on our journey down the bumpy dirt road. The cold kept all but an occasional park ranger, and one or two tourists away, so it was quite nice to wander through the town on our own. I was thankful that Ron was better prepared for the cold than I, and he lent me one of his coats, making me better able to bare the winter cold. It was also nice to see the snow, although most of it didn't have a chance to stick to the ground with the high winds. We ended up enjoying the day so much that we had to be kicked out by the ranger, when he came by to lock the gate.

The Process: I began with a neutral cardstock. I added a number of transfers from the new AP. I added the photo, and blended in unto the white area of one of the transfers. I duplicated the photo a number of times, and placed the various photo layers on blend modes hard light and Darker color. I added the loopdaloop, but modified the various layers. I loved the stains from the Loopdaloop, and copied it various times, placing portions of it throughout the page. I added the beads from BeadedThreadz to the loopdaloop. I added artstrokes, and spatters throughout, along with a number of other elements from AP Evergreen. I added the WordArt and journaling, and placed the edge overlay. I finished up with the sparkle dots which I placed in various places throughout the photo area, masking portions of it out.
