Another Tyler page. I have so few photos of her, and they are all very dear to me. A few people asked about her the last page I did my name tylertooo is in honor of her, and no I dont have the pleasure of seeing her any longer as I live in Southern California, and she lives in Las Vegas. I have spoken to her on the phone she had learned a number of words and phrases, such as Hello, What are you doing?, Pilot to co-pilot, Give me a kiss, and then she would make a kissing sound, and her whole body would jump when she did so, and she also had an imitation of a maniacal sounding laugh. My dh and I met because of Tyler (she ran up to him), and he told me he always thought birds were nothing animals, just sitting on a perch, and when he got to know Tyler, his opinion changed, as he couldnt believe how much personality she had.
Tyler was very playful, and loved to play-attack things. Although I would give her edible branches, or sticks she could attack, one day I heard a screeching coming from the bathroom. Upon investigation, I entered to find her beside the sink, her crest up, wings out, as she aggressively attacked a lipstick she had picked up of mine. Somehow, she had been able to remove the cap, and extend the lipstick, and I found her black beak and tongue covered with dark pink lipstick. I couldnt help but laugh at the sight of her jamming this lipstick into her beak while screeching, and arching her wings around this unlikely foe. Although I know she was not trying to gussy herself up, it brought to mind the movie "Sunset Boulevard". She reminded me however, more of Carol Burnett's version of Norma Desmond, rather than Gloria Swanson's version.
