Multimedia Branches No. 6_2 http://www.oscraps.com/shop/MultiMedia-Branches-No.-6.html

Part of another spread for my Alphabet Reflections album 2016. Since this spread is content-heavy, with the images being symbols of the journaling, I'll repeat the first portion of it here: As we rode the F train from Manhattan to Brooklyn last night, and as I was looking at the empty subway seats across from us, I was reminded that this was the year that I discovered that sometimes, when the intersections of anxiety and fearfulness are approaching gridlock, it really helps to take fifteen minutes and try to go empty, to sit in stillness inhaling and exhaling and letting the worries drift away like so many little paper boats floating down a river. The rest of the journaling is just an expansion on that.

Process notes: To better fit the orientation of my photos, I reversed the order of the pages on the spread, making #8 into #9 and vice versa. I switched the numerals and added the photos, then used one of my cityscapes for the background on the right hand page. I dropped in the solid paper for the background on the left, then typed in the titles, to which I added a 5 pt white stroke. I then recolored the stains on the left green, to make them look sort of smokey, and dabbed away any layers that looked to harsh with layer masks. I added the multimedia branch--for a little more dimension, I duplicated the button a few times. I increased the shadow on the bird in the branch because I wanted the beak to stand out prominently against the Fotoglo.
Great collection of city traffic photos! Love the different perspectives!

These photos convey emotions and tap into people's experiences, that's for sure.

Nice work with the photos. If only the letting go part were as easy as it sounds life would be much simpler.
