Hygge

I was away when AP Hygge was released and tonight is my first opportunity to scrap with the new goodies! I love a printer's tray but more than that I love a distressed one so I knew immediately that this baby was going to be undergoing a distressing! :)

I began with the tray positioned on Solid paper 2 and then loaded up brushes from Different Strokes No 11 and started stamping on the paint making sure each brush was on a different layer. I then used the rectangular marquee tool to delete parts I didn't want or copy the paint on to another layer allowing me to change opacity and blending mode. Behind is a photograph duplicated with one layer on lighten and the other on soft light at 58% which I erased with a soft brush. I clipped part of a Hygge artsy transfer to a Multilayered fotoblendz and positioned that behind the photograph to give me some wall texture as well as a further selection of stains and layers from both the Artplay Palette and the artsy Transfers. At this point I had a dither about the background colour and ended up layering paper 5 and 4 on top of the existing background; 5 on multiply mode and 4 on colour mode so that way I got the texture showing through from the original light background but managed to achieve the greenish tones you see now. The elements are grouped together in the corner and I finished with some quotes from hearth WordArt mix.
