Notes:
I started by altering the photothe original was a long shot of my daughter and I inside an art installation at a museum. I superimposed the vintage jumping-for-joy girls over a full two-thirds of the photo, using a variety of blending modes and some filters in the filter gallery of PSE14.

I flattened the altered photo and moved it to a canvas, then duplicated it a few times using different blending modes and layer masks to obscure parts that weren't interacting well. I then added the little selfie of my daughter and me in the warping frame, and wrote the journaling.

I flattened everything again and added the ModGrungeFotoBlendz, enlarged to fill the page, and clipped my photo to that. I had to fill in areas of the mask where it wiped out some of my journaling, but I just used a black brush to paint those areas in. I added the wordart and beaded threadz next. Then I added the threads, to hide the edge of the Fotoblendz, and the button. Although the Fotoblendz added a lot of texture, I overlaid a photo of a metal sculpture I had taken at the museum on top of the composition to give even more texture, on multiply at reduced opacity. This had the pleasant effect of adding some texture to the warping frame so it wasn't so bright white. Finally, I added the background paper.
This really feels like a page in a mixed media art journal. A wonderful photo.

Love the effects. I'm reminded of Glen Miller's 'In the Mood'. All the happy.
