I happen to know a number of people who have birthdays during the holiday season. And I thought that the magical glitter and sparkle in et designs' new Christmas Sparkle Bundle would be perfect for a birthday layout.

I started by selecting one of the artsy papers with glitter and lights. Then I brought in my photo and the gorgeous, ornate oval beaded frame. I positioned the photo in the frame and gave the frame a drop shadow.

There is a star garland in the kit, so I decided to string the garland from the frame to the edges of the layout, adding a drop shadow to give the garland dimension. Then, I began arranging the poinsettia, berries, and greenery to make a cluster. I added that plus the red gingham bow to the frame. Then I added the dangling stars.

At this point, I tried flipping the entire layout left to right, and decided that I liked it flipped better -- although I made sure the photo stayed as it was. Finally, I added the "Happy Birthday" title.
