When asked by little kids: "where do babies come from" ...?...ah, i remember when i was younger (9 years old) these very little kids asked me and my friend where babies come from. We said go ask your parents, but they wouldn't leave us alone. So we said babies grow in trees in this magical place called baby land. When they've grown enough, the stork comes and delivers the baby to the mom's doorstep. (forum Canada). In France, in Belgium (old explanations, I hope so): Despite the persistent rumor, boys are not born in cabbage patches and girls in rose gardens But Im sure that storks are associated with babies (Leave me my illusions).The stork has been revered in Europe at least since the Middle Ages, and its association with babies seems to have originated in northern Germany centuries ago.
