This is a photo taken in 1999 of our family 7 day white water rafting trip down the Green and Yampa Rivers with my two adult children. After 7 days, we were barely speaking to each other (LOL), but knew that our lives had changed forever because of the experience.

Process
A 12x12 page was opened in Photoshop. Artsy paper 2 was imported from APP Heartland. The photo was given a watercolor treatment, duplicated with the blending mode changed to hard light. A layer mask was added and using the gradient tool the edges were blended into the paper. Several transfers from APP Heartland and APP Canyon were layered around the photo, with the blending modes changed to color burn or multiply. A warm glow and the stitched MultiMedia Sun 2 were added, along with a border edge from APP Viaggio. I took a break and came back several hours later to finish the page. When I reopened it, I felt that I couldnt breathe, everything was too large. So a composite image was made, resized and a custom shadow was created. Solid p 5 from APP Heartland was added for the base of the page. A thin border and embellishments were added to finish the page.
