Journaling: I am grateful and thankful that Eric is back from Afghanistan. I am grateful that Eric's dad, my brother George, had an opportunity to spend a bit of time with him during a layover on the way back to San Diego. I am grateful that my "other brother," John (George's friend for many, many years) went with him to see Eric. I am grateful that Eric will be transferring to Arizona and will not be going back to Afghanistan nor Iraq. I am grateful that Eric will be holding his little girls rather than just photos of them.
