Granddad (Anna color challenge 6/08-6/21)

inspired by Adryane's page "dear Francis" for NSD live 2018

The main fisherman photo is my grandfather taken in 1909. On the back of the photo is a note he wrote to my grandmother but it's all in Danish so I have no idea what it says! When on vacation last summer in Scandinavia we saw these different fishermen statues and I kept thinking about this photo of my grandfather.

What a wonderful photo to have! There are a lot of people who visit this gallery who could help with the translation (also you could type it into Google Translate). I would love to see another page letting us know what you learn from the translation. I have learned a lot about photos from the one or two sentences on the backs. Terrific take on the challenge :)

This is really beautiful with the touches of color. Love knowing about the Danish writing on the back of the photo. I have some letters in Swedish, would love to know what they say. So happy you shared the final version here in the gallery. Your use of postage stamp frames is excellent.
