Journaling: Fred and Ginger Bread are looking for a new house after Hansel and Gretel demolished theirs in a feeding frenzy. They want to find a home that reflects their interests. Will they choose the cute little bungalow close to the city, the townhouse with a man cave or the house with the million dollar view in the country? (This was the grandkids take on this year's gingerbread houses. I think they watch too much HGTV!)

The Process
I began by turning all the layers of the template, except for the frames. I added the background paper from AP Sugar. I clipped my photos to the clipping masks and resized/moved to fit the page better. For the blended photos (which were hard to work with because the kids made their houses at night and the window behind them looked like a large black hole) I used a radial gradient layer mask and brushed in around their faces and hands. Supporting elements, word art and journaling were added. Then I went through one by one the layers that I had turned off, keeping the ones that worked with the page and deleting the ones that didn't blend in well.
