I started with a copy of the template and merged all the layers and used this layer as a mask for my photo.I changed the blend mode (overlay) a bit to get more contrast and saturation and I also used an adjusting layer for levels to get all photos a little bit brighter. Then I used part of the template (brushes, transfers, strokes, textures etc) again and put it over the photo and changed the blend mode for some. Glows, a transfer in the top and the striped paper gave the page more balance, I think.
