From Indio we can see way out into the Badlands and desert to the east (if you could walk far enough, you'd hit Joshua Tree National Park), and to the west are the snow-capped San Jacinto's.

I used FI 2V page 3, turning off some of the frames/masks. One of the masks was duplicated to cover the area of the large photo, then merged and brushed/erases for the large photo.
I used pieces of Crocheted Snow, duplicated, to simulate both snow and sand at the top and bottom.
