Silhouette from Dover Publications
Font: Aura Blue

The Process: I am going from the bottom layer up, but that is not how this layout came together. All I knew from the start is the photo I wanted to use and the silhouette, giving me the story I wanted the page to tell. I never know where it takes me from there.

I chose paper 2 and turned it to accommodate the photo orientation and used the gradient tool and brushes to fit it to the transfer that was on the paper. I left the photo on Normal blend because any duplicating and changing blend modes just didnt work with it. However, I did run a couple of actions on it before I placed it in the layout to bring out the colors of the roses. It was a little washed out for my taste. I placed the FotoGlow on the wall to bring out the rose vines yet still keep some darkness there, and it worked beautifully.

Under the photo I added transfers; along both sides I added the gold texture and the lace under the photo, which I duplicated two times. On top of the lace I added the stitching, heart button and more stitching to appear coming out of the holes. Underneath the transfer on the left I added the MultiMedia heart, turning it a little so the threadz followed the path of the couples shadow.

I added a shadow to the silhouette to pop it a little from the photo, put it on its own layer and duplicated it to turn and warp it to fall in front of them to follow the shadow of the bicycle in the photo. I grounded the couple with tissue texture and stains the same color as the pavement in the photo so they didnt appear floating on nothing. That would bother me.

One thing I love about paid fonts is the extras that come with them, for example the swashes I used on my title. Delicious!

I think that just about covers it. I had a couple of glasses of wine while creating this layout, so if there are any miss spelled words, so be it.
wonderful idea to use the silhouettes against the lovely flowery background.
