JOURNALING: First Responders Park, Hilliard OH, dedicated on September 11, 2010, pays tribute to first responders nationwide and carries the message that no matter where one lives, all Americans are stakeholders in the events that unfolded on 9/11. It is the largest memorial of its kind outside of those at the three terrorist attack locations, New York, Washington DC, and Shanksville PA. Primary features of the park include six tons of steel from Ground Zero, three large granite walls engraved with the names of all who lost their lives in those attacks, personalized pavers to honor first responders, and a reflecting pool with a flag lined plaza. 4/17/17
